About
Awareness allows for change. This is a phrase I have coined that you will hear from me often. Let's discuss this topic together – awareness allows for change. When we achieve awareness - awareness within ourselves, awareness of our environment, and awareness of our patterns of thought and behaviors - that's when positive changes can start to happen.
One of the most important things that therapy can help you to achieve is awareness. As your therapist, I will be an additional resource for you as you endeavor to explore the areas of your life that need your energy and attention. You and I will develop a therapeutic relationship wherein we get to know one another and we work together toward your treatment goals, be they; decreasing the frequency and intensity of anxiety symptoms, managing the impact of depressive symptoms, or gaining greater understanding of the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. It is within the safe and supportive environment of our therapy sessions that we will identify and learn to implement positive tools for coping that include Mindfulness techniques, Anxiety & Mood Management Strategies, Stress Management Strategies, and Cognitive-Behavioral Strategies, to name only a few, that will assist you in your growth process. I sincerely believe that anyone who has the motivation to seek out help as they engage in their personal growth and development has the ability to achieve the goals they set out for themselves.
