About
I’m not a regular therapist—I’m an inclusive, affirming, collaborative, and sometimes even cool, therapist.
Who I Help:
For over a decade I’ve practiced across a wide range of ages and diagnoses, and now focus exclusively on adults (18+). I have a special passion for working with LGBTQIA+ identities, non-monogamy/polyamory & kink/BDSM communities, and folks working on self-esteem, interpersonal communication, anxiety, depression, and later-in-life ADHD discovery/diagnosis.
My work is firmly grounded in decolonization, diversity, equity, and inclusion—I provide an affirming space for every facet of who you are.
How I Work and What I Believe:
More than one client has said, “You’re not a regular therapist—you’re a cool therapist.” While I was never one of the “cool kids,” I am down-to-earth, relatable, and quick to find humor in unexpected places.
Strengths first. We identify what’s working, then leverage those assets to boost self-acceptance and rise above stereotypes and stigma.
Motivation matters. Clients who thrive here are ready to be compassionately and supportively challenged, and put in effort between sessions. Real growth happens through what you do between appointments.
You’re the expert on you. Together we co-create a road map of your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors—no one-size-fits-all shortcuts. My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Feminist Theory, but I integrate strategies from all of my years of training and experience to fit each individual's needs and goals.
Emotions, and yes, even tears, are never a sign of weakness. All manner of self-expression is safe with me.
Humor is medicine. If you enjoy a well-timed meme or quip amid the heavier stuff, we’ll get along great. Therapy can be fun, really!
Professional doesn't have to mean dull! Sessions are relaxed, patient-centered, social justice-minded, and individually tailored.
First-Session Vibe:
Expect a judgment-free zone where honesty is welcome and all parts of you are invited. I am neurodivergence-affirming; feel free to 'unmask' with me! We’ll clarify your goals, spotlight your strengths, and sketch the first leg of your personalized road map so you leave knowing your next steps—and that you have a teammate who believes in your capacity to change.
Not My Scope:
I’m not the best fit for active substance use/abuse, eating disorders, OCD, high-support-needs Autism, or active psychosis.
I do not provide ESA, FMLA, workers’ comp, or court-related letters (custody, DUI, etc.).
If you’re motivated to reach your goals, appreciate a little levity, and are ready to put in the work, let’s start mapping your next chapter—cool therapist-style.
