I am an avid believer of work and fun balance. When I go too long without doing something enjoyable I feel myself slipping into burnout mode. I make it a priority to have time set aside to enjoy things I love such as reading classic English novels, cooking and meaningful conversation with my husband about anything and everything. I love doing mother daughter activities with my 12 year old daughter and playing with my 1 year old Morkie.

It takes insight to recognize when old habits, beliefs and behaviors are hindering you from experiencing a more fulfilling and happy life. It takes courage to take steps necessary to try a new approach in life. Healing is a process that takes time. A safe place filled with trust, care and concern is a prerequisite in order to move through this process. I aim to provide my clients with a safe and judgment free environment where they can share their hopes, goals, and fears. Someplace where they can learn more effective communication skills, coping skills, and obtain a deeper understanding of their thoughts, feelings and experiences. I utilize empirically supported techniques, including cognitive and behavioral interventions that address ways in which individuals think about and respond to events. These interventions allow clients to restructure their thinking, process events and modify behaviors in more healthy ways. I also use Client Centered Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy to collaboratively work with clients to identify successful past solutions to problems and how these strengths can be implemented to current problems. I find it best however, to match the therapeutic approach with each individual depending on their unique needs. I have been a licensed clinical Psychologist since 2009 in the state of California (PSY22241). I obtained my doctoral degree in clinical Psychology from Alliant International University Alhambra, CA in 2004. I have experience working with adults 18 years of age and older who are struggling with anxiety, depression, OCD, and ADHD.
