Hello; my name is Hayede Raeen AKA Hedy Raeen and I hold a California marriage and family therapy license (LMFT). I have been working with clients presenting with a wide spectrum of Behavioral, emotional and psychological difficulties for over 25 years. I place a high value in treating my clients with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach aiming to provide a safe environment to build trust and work through life challenges and achieve their desired goals. My views of mental health and well-being are influenced by Jungian Psychology and Mindfulness-Based therapy. Additionally, I have extensive training and experience utilizing Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients build effective coping skills. My specialties are Trauma, grief and loss, anxiety and stress management and couple therapy. I am also EMDR trained.

Therapeutic style:
With a warm, caring, and accepting approach, I aim to create a safe environment for clients to connect and build trust to work through emotional and psychological barriers to achieve their higher potentials.

My journey to mental healthcare:
From the time that I remember as a child, I was curious and fascinated with human mind and how it influences relationships and society as a whole. This curiosity to understand human mind as best as I could paired with a natural sense of empathy and caring and a desire to help others only became stronger over time and eventually led to choosing counseling psychology as my profession.

My goals for you:
I work collaboratively with you to engage in a process of identifying issues and challenges, setting up your desired goals and providing you with support and tools you would need to achieve those goals.

My first session with you:
The first session would be an introductory session to get to know one another in a therapeutic context. I would gather relevant information about what brings you into therapy and answer any questions while building a sense of trust and safety in the process.
