Irianna D. Montes is a licensed marriage and family therapist, registered play therapist, and a clinical anxiety treatment professional with over 15 years of experience working in the mental health field and providing direct service to children and families. some of her work experience includes working as a Rehabilitation Specialist, an Anger Management Counselor, a Social Worker, and a Marriage and Family Therapists. Irianna has created, implemented and managed systems of care and programs as a behavior intervention services manager for a school district serving children, adolescents and families who's emotional and behavioral status impeded their education and has experience working and supporting special educators through the therapeutic process. She has worked in private and public settings and has worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, trauma, and ADHD.
Her counseling style is warm and interactive. Her mindfulness-informed, strength-based approach helps find the shimmers of hope in dark situations. Irianna believes in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity and compassion, and meeting the client where they are at (emotionally). Her approach combines cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused and humanistic modalities, and she will tailor the dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. Irianna is a member of the California Association for Marriage and Family Therapist (CAMFT), and the Association for Play Therapy (APT)-United States and California Chapters.
