About
Greetings, Talofa & Aloha Kakou, welcome to the islands, a warm space of support, laughter, music, and year-round flip-flops! But also, a space of growth, hard work, and self-mastery! Please come in and do some good work on your mind; the human brain is amazing in its ability to re-stabilize.
I have a passion for the mind-body connection and I use lots of bilateral stimulation to help individuals regulate stress, emotion & thinking patterns, which helps individuals to feel better, communicate better, and reach various life goals.
My parents immigrated to California and are of Pacific Islander and Asian origins. I was born and raised here in SoCAL, which has helped me to understand and relate well to many people in our community of various backgrounds.
I currently specialize in EMDR (eye-movement desensitization & reprocessing), but began as a clinician working in career counseling, trauma-related war populations, immigrating families, and then serving our K-12 school system with students. I also enjoy working with people that have (or might have) ADHD/ADD, it's always a difficult task to try and navigate how the brain's executive functioning might be affected by combinations of trauma, mood disruptions, inattention, hyperactive mind, hyperactive body, and/or dissociation.
