About
Identity unfolds over a lifetime. Together, we find clarity so you can author the next chapter.
We spend so much time meeting the expectations of others that it’s easy to lose track of what actually motivates us. If you feel stuck at the intersection of career, culture, and family, you aren't alone.
Who I Am & Who I Help
I am Dr. Quade French, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in the complex intersections of identity, culture, and major life transitions. Whether you are navigating a new professional role, carving out an identity as a parent, or wrestling with cultural expectations, I help you find a sustainable way forward.
My Approach & Style
Therapy with me is an active, side-by-side partnership. I don’t believe in sterile, one-size-fits-all treatment or sitting back in silence. This is your opportunity to craft a revised narrative for your life, authored by you.
Together, we look honestly at your lived experiences to decide what is working and what no longer serves you. We focus on personal sustainability, ensuring the way you live, work, and connect is authentic and viable for you long-term.
Clinical Specializations
• Adoption: As an adoptee myself, I combine lived experience with clinical training to help individuals explore how adoption shapes their sense of self and their relationships.
• Men and Men of Color: I help men navigate the pressures of the modern world, focusing on cultural messages about masculinity to help clients redefine the term for themselves, without shame.
• Executives and Leaders: Leveraging my experience as a senior administrator at USC, I help leaders and managers craft a professional identity grounded in their personal values.
Beyond the Therapy Room
My background in higher education and organizational leadership allows me to understand the complex systems we navigate daily. I served at the University of Southern California for 10 years, most recently as Associate Dean of Academic Culture and Well-being and Chief Diversity Officer for USC Dornsife.
Since 2019, I have served as Adjunct Faculty at the USC Rossier School of Education, teaching in the Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health Leadership programs.
I am a Los Angeles native, and I am proud to serve this diverse and vibrant community. I look forward to connecting with you.

- We're All Burned Out with Dr. Quade French (Apr 30, 2021) - On the final episode of season five, Match Volume’s Mari Young is joined by Dr. Quade French, a clinical psychologist and consultant in the USC provost’s office of campus well-being and education. In their conversation, Dr. French breaks down the experience of “pandemic stress” and offers compassionate advice on how to cope with burnout. Special thanks to Ashi Kumar and Mari Young who both contributed to the promotion of this week’s episode. And a special thanks to all of our listeners this semester.
