About

It's not an easy journey and I am glad that you are here.

Life can be hard and overwhelming. You may feel stuck and unsure of what to do next. You may feel like where you are right now is a difficult place to be.

You're in the right place.

This is the first step to getting help. When life becomes challenging and stressful, therapy can help make sense of what you are going through and support you through the difficulties you are facing. I can help you gain a better understanding of what is making you feel stuck and to make sense of it so that you can move forward.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master’s degree in Counseling from Cal State Fullerton. I am bilingual — I speak English and Teochew (Chinese language). I have extensive experience with clients from different cultures and ages, particularly with the Cambodian and the AAPI population.

I've helped individuals work through issues such as intergenerational conflicts, cultural conflicts and issues with acculturation. I am passionate about culture and mental health and have been working in the mental health field for years. As a culturally sensitive therapist, I believe it is important to be curious about your individual experience. In my work, I value the importance of the therapeutic relationship that assists with healing. I believe it is important to work collaboratively together in order to help you reach your goals of feeling better. I'm a strong believer in the benefits of a healing space that is compassionate and caring. A huge part of healing can be from working with someone you can trust and can feel comfortable with. I can be the compassionate and caring guide to help you get your life closer to the one you envision for yourself. I’d love to help you explore and see multiple perspectives in order to find strength in yourself and make positive changes in your life. You don’t have to be unhappy; things can get better and this is a step towards that.

It's not an easy journey, and I am glad you're here. You are capable and worthy; and when you are ready for a change, I can be there to help.
