About

"The ocean of suffering is immense, but if you turn around, you can see the land." -Thich Nhat Hanh

Hello! I am so glad you found your way to therapy. I know that from time to time our journeys are affected by challenges; challenges in the form of mental and emotional issues that impair our quality of life. I believe that at the core of each human being lies a powerful source of empowerment and that with support, we all can reconnect to that source. We all have a unique light to shine. And often it is through breakdowns that we are propelled to our greatest breakthroughs.

I strive to create a warm and accepting environment for clients to feel safe in exploring their worries and concerns. I believe that through the therapeutic process clients can achieve freedom from trauma, relief of their symptoms and a newfound sense of hope for their future. My goal is to assist you to realize your true potential and create the life you see for yourself.

I am culturally reflective and LGBTQ+ affirming. I received my Bachelors in Arts in Biology at California State University, Northridge and my Masters in Social Work degree at the University of Southern California, with a concentration in Mental Health and a sub-concentration in Older Adults. I have always been interested in what makes us human. I taught high school science after undergrad and it was the experience of growing up and working in an underprivileged community that inspired me to pursue my degree in social work. I have worked in community mental health and in healthcare, working in an oncology setting.

I am EMDR certified. I am also trained and certified in yoga and meditation, Reiki Level III Practitioner and Himalayan Tibetan Singing Bowls Therapist. As a therapist my style is relational, holistic and trauma-informed and I do my best work supporting adults in working through developmental trauma and how our early life experiences shape our relationship with ourselves and others. I am also a native Spanish-speaker and can conduct therapy en español!
