About
I believe that perspectives can be greatly shaped by the stories we tell ourselves, and thoroughly enjoy assisting my clients in altering their more negative beliefs and shifting them into realities that better suit their needs.
Hello! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Registered Art Therapist in the State of California with over 7 years of working experience. As a therapist, I enjoy utilizing a combination of psychodynamic and narrative theories, which I pair with CBT and mindfulness interventions to help develop coping strategies. I believe that perspectives can be greatly shaped by the stories we tell ourselves and enjoy assisting clients in altering negative beliefs into more positive thoughts and behaviors, shifting them into realities that better suit their current needs. As a Registered Art Therapist, I am trained in using creativity as a tool to enrich my client’s experience through exploring underlying emotions which may be difficult to pinpoint and understand.
I believe my clients intuitively know what is best for their life and strive to create a non-judgmental, warm, and safe environment where they can explore their concerns. I have worked with clients on a wide range of diagnoses including anxiety, career and life challenges, family conflict, and self-esteem issues. As a woman from a multiracial background, I am culturally aware and sensitive to the hardships this population may experience. Reaching out for support takes a lot of courage as it is the first step toward lasting change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you. I look forward to working with you!
**PLEASE NOTE**
At this time I am ONLY able to accept Aetna, Cigna and MHN (Commercial) insurances.
