About
People seek therapy for a variety of reasons. It is common to experience emotional pain, distress, or uncertainty at some point in your life.
It may seem daunting and vulnerable to share your personal journey with a therapist. Obtaining help by coming to therapy is a sign of strength. By talking through emotions and behaviors in therapy, you can come to know yourself better and make better decisions for yourself.
My goal is to provide a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where we will work together to remove obstacles and develop steps to achieve your goals. I will work with you to enhance your self-knowledge and self-worth so you can assert your needs, build secure and honest relationships, form realistic expectations, stop over-criticizing yourself and others, and weather stress and setbacks.
I work with clients who face environmental stressors, relationship issues, poor communication, difficulty with life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma, loss, substance use, and more. Present day problems can oftentimes be traced back to earlier root experiences. My goal is to work collaboratively with you to promote awareness and self-acceptance that will foster emotional growth and healing. I look forward to exploring this journey with you!
