About
"The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are"
Hello my name is Mayra, I am a bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist located in Rancho Cucamonga, California. I received my master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from University of La Verne. Most of my work has been through non-profit organizations, including community mental health and school-based treatment.
I have worked in the social services field for the past 16 years. In the last six years my clinical focus has been children as young as 8 years old into young adulthood as well as families. It truly has been a privilege to work with children, adolescents, young adults as well as entire families struggling with life balance, work or school problems, stress, loss, trauma, depression and anxiety.
The impact that these life problems have, can be overwhelming and difficult to manage. I provide support to help manage these feelings, and barriers to the wellbeing of individuals. I am a compassionate, warm, and direct therapist. I am committed to helping individuals, and families live an enjoyable and fulfilling life.
My approach is tailored to each individual needs, and also utilizes evidence- based practices to treat trauma, depression and anxiety. I strive to help my clients unlearn the behaviors, patterns, and beliefs that brought them into therapy by learning new ways of coping; to help them reach a place where they are emotionally healthier, more authentic, and better prepared to take on new challenges. I look forward to meeting you, collaborating in enhancing your autonomy in a safe place where you can find the healing you have been looking for.
